Garden Jams Returns: Live Music, Local Vibes
Summer in Philly means it’s time to get outside, unwind after work, and take in the sounds of the season—and Garden Jams at the Penn Museum is serving that exact energy. Launching July 9 and running weekly through the month, this summer concert series offers live global music in a one-of-a-kind courtyard setting that feels more like a private garden party than a public event.

What’s Garden Jams All About?
Held in the Warden Garden at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Museum, Garden Jams features local musicians bringing global soundscapes to life—from West African drums to Latin jazz and Caribbean fusion. Each week highlights a different genre and cultural experience, making it more than just a concert—it’s a community event.
As Penn Today and West Philly Local shared, the series is free with museum admission and includes outdoor bar service, food trucks, and seating scattered throughout the museum’s lush courtyard. It’s an easy way to unwind, discover new music, and soak in the summer atmosphere.

Heading to the show? Start your night with us. 7C Lounge is located just a short drive from the museum, and we’ll be running happy hour and early evening specials to get you in the groove before the music starts.
